CHRISTMAS DAY
Christmas is the most important festival for Christians. It brings home a spirit of cheer across the entire world. Christmas dates back to the time when Jesus was born to Mother Mary in a small stable. This festival is celebrated to mark the arrival of Jesus into this world. It is believed that the birth of Jesus Christ was prophesized earlier. Therefore, this festival is dear to traditional Christians. It has found widespread popularity among all the people irrespective of their religion or community. It is the time when families get together and cook delicious food for each other. The Christmas tree is a big attraction point of Christmas. People install Christmas trees at their homes and decorate it with bells, balls, glitter, and stars. It is all about baking sweet cakes and sharing them with your loved ones.
The date of the winter solstice in the Roman Calendar marks the birth of Jesus.
It is commonly celebrated on December 25 all across the globe.
The festival encourages us to make merry and be happy.
Its sole aim is to teach us that the light of the lord always guards us and that we must never lose hope.
Jesus was born as a ray of hope to the oppressed masses.
The birth of Jesus saw the end of the sufferings of plenty of people.
It is the time when people leave all other work and get together to celebrate the festival with joy.
Christmas tree decorating is the most fun-filled activity during Christmas.
It can be done by putting up beautiful trinkets, bells, and ornaments
on the Christmas tree.
People exchange gifts, and many parents tell
their kids that the imaginary Santa Claus brings gifts
for them every year.
Children are taught to share and be empathetic towards others by helping each other out in need.
The poor and needy, who cannot celebrate Christmas, are assisted, so they won’t miss such an amazing festival.
Christmas is a termination event of a 12-day long festival. Many people don’t know the preceding events and only focus on the main festival. The 12 days of Christmas are all about fasting and penance to commemorate the suffering faced by Jesus.
The last day of the 12-day series is known as Christmas and is celebrated on December 25 every year. It falls on the winter solstice day in the Roman calendar and is the darkest day of the year. The birth of Jesus comes as a ray of hope and marks the beginning of a journey towards enlightenment. Christmas is all about decorating Christmas trees, eating with families and friends, and having lots of fun. The core values of sharing are instilled in children from the beginning, and they learn to have a deep sense of moral values.
